Medicare Help in Overland Park, Olathe, KCK and Johnson County

Living on the Kansas side often means your doctors are on both sides of State Line Road. We help you compare plans from many insurance companies and make sure the ones you pick work where you get care.

Wyandotte and Johnson counties

On the Kansas side, we help people in Wyandotte County, including Kansas City, Kansas, and all through Johnson County. That covers Overland Park, Olathe, Shawnee, Lenexa, Leawood, Prairie Village and the towns around them.

The plans you can choose depend on the county you live in. So we start with your ZIP code, your doctors and your medicines, then show you the plans we offer that fit.

The hospitals people want to keep

We hear it all the time: "I just want to keep my doctor." On this side of the line, people often name places like these:

  • The University of Kansas Health System, with its main hospital in Kansas City, Kansas
  • AdventHealth Shawnee Mission
  • Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Menorah Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health
  • Olathe Health
  • Saint Luke's South in Overland Park

Hospital networks for Medicare Advantage plans can change every year, and sometimes during the year. We do not assume. We check your doctors and hospital against each plan we offer before you decide. See how we check.

Living near the state line

Many people in Johnson County see a specialist in Missouri, or use a hospital on the other side of the line. That is common here, and it is fine. What matters is the type of plan:

  • Medicare Supplement plans work with any doctor or hospital in the country that takes Medicare. Crossing the state line does not change that.
  • Medicare Advantage plans use networks. A plan may include your Kansas doctor but not your Missouri hospital, or the other way around. We check both.

Call us first so we can check your doctors. Send us the names of your doctors and hospital, in Kansas or Missouri. We will check the plans we offer before you pick one. Call (816) 307-6165 or book a free review.

Kansas rules are not the same as Missouri's

Parts A and B are federal, so they work the same way in both states. The Medicare Advantage and drug plans offered can differ by county. But each state sets some of its own rules for Medicare Supplement plans. Missouri has a yearly anniversary rule for switching Supplement plans. Kansas has its own rules. If you moved across the line, or are thinking about it, this can matter. See how Missouri and Kansas compare.
